Venetian Baroque Gown – Sun King Era Versailles Masquerade Dress

Handmade Venetian Baroque gown crafted in Italy from rich patterned jacquard, ivory lace and satin details, designed for Venice Carnival, masquerade balls, theatre and historical-fantasy events.

Le Soleil de Venise combines a fitted court-style bodice, a dramatic off-the-shoulder lace neckline and a full jacquard skirt with optional petticoat. Inspired by the splendour of late 17th-century European court fashion, the gown creates an elegant theatrical silhouette while remaining a historical-fantasy design rather than a museum reproduction.

Made to order in Italy. Standard sizing is available from XS to 4XL, and the gown can also be adapted to personal measurements.

Design & Construction

The gown is designed around a structured court silhouette with a fitted bodice and a wide floor-length skirt. Heavy patterned jacquard gives the skirt body and visual richness, while layers of ivory lace soften the neckline and sleeves and create movement around the upper body.

What Is Included

Your order includes one complete Venetian-inspired Baroque gown with coordinated lace neckline, sleeves and decorative satin bow.

The petticoat is included only when the “With Petticoat” option is selected.

Silhouette & Understructure

The gown can be worn both with and without a petticoat, but the understructure noticeably changes the final silhouette.

Without Petticoat: the heavy jacquard falls more naturally from the waist, creating a softer historical-fantasy shape with less projection around the skirt.

With Petticoat: the skirt opens into a fuller and more theatrical silhouette, allowing the jacquard and lace details to be seen more clearly. This version is particularly effective for Venice Carnival, masquerade balls, stage performances and formal photography.

The jacquard is deliberately substantial so that the skirt maintains its shape, while the softer lace adds movement around the neckline and sleeves.

Small variations in jacquard placement and colour may occur between fabric batches. Screen settings may also slightly affect how colours appear online.

Is the petticoat included?

Only when the “With Petticoat” option is selected. The gown can also be worn without one for a softer skirt silhouette.
